Ayaka Cyndi Kato is a Japanese-American photographer based in New York City. She got her start in photography while living in Tokyo in 2009, where she began developing her signature style in color-driven portraiture across both film and digital.

Her work focuses on capturing candid, natural moments, highlighting genuine emotion, subtle interactions, and the in-between moments that make a moment feel real.

Outside of photography, she’s a traveler, translator, climber, nail artist, and proud cat lady.
